HEALING HANDS: NEW ORLEANS’ JOURNEY TOWARD HEALING!
Our support for the Children’s Hospital goes beyond charity; it's about strengthening the fabric of our community, working together to bring about change, and contributing to a vision where every child has the chance to thrive.
Did you know that in New Orleans, LA, pediatric cancer affects a significant number of families each year? These children, with their whole lives ahead of them, face challenges far beyond their years. Your support can make a real difference. By referring a friend or family member to us for a no-obligation insurance quote, we pledge to donate $15 to the Children's Hospital of New Orleans in your name. This simple act of kindness can bring immense hope and relief to these families, helping to lighten their load and brighten their journey.
When someone is diagnosed with cancer, it can be one of the most challenging times in their life. It's typical to experience a range of emotions, including shock, worry, anger, fear, and sadness, which can be overwhelming to process.
Gama Insurance Agencies is proud to support the Children's Hospital of New Orleans as part of our Community Cause Program this quarter. Our Community Cause Program aims to promote positive change in our communities by providing financial and material donations.
This quarter, we will use our resources to shine a light on individuals dealing with illness in our local area. We dedicate our newest campaign cycle to the Louisiana Prevention & Control Programs (LCP). We believe their mission to reduce suffering and death in Louisiana by getting ahead of the issue by using early detection and prevention methods aligns with our agency's vision of protecting what matters to you most.
Here at Gama Insurance Agencies, we believe everyone should have the right and privilege to receive the best education possible. Ultimately, our goal is to provide those less fortunate with the necessary tools to become productive members of society. Thankfully, in our community, STAND for Children Louisiana is on an ambitious mission to ensure that every child graduates with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in college and their career.
In our community, we have the Three O’Clock Project (TOP), a nonprofit organization with a mission of “providing healthy meals and nutrition education for at-risk students after school and during the summer months.” They tackle fulfilling this essential need of feeding at-risk youth by partnering with schools, afterschool organizations, and food vendors. To date, they have served over 6 million meals!
NAMI of New Orleans is a nonprofit organization for families and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness. They seek to use their resources to educate the public, eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness, and advocate for increased funding and research for the causes and treatments related to mental illness.
The Louisiana Cancer Prevention and Control Programs dedicate their time and efforts to developing better methods to detect and prevent cancer before that war even begins. Focusing on the residents of Louisiana and based out of New Orleans, they've managed to become one of the most successful programs in America at lowering their state's average breast cancer death rate.
The Louisiana Lupus Foundation was created in 1938 with the following purposes: to “provide information, education, and referral for those affected by lupus and to promote the development and enhancement of health and social welfare services at the local level to assist individuals who have lupus; support research programs related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure, and prevention of lupus; and to promote public education and awareness of lupus and an understanding of the ramifications of living with lupus.”
The Autism Society envisions families and individuals living with autism being able to maximize their quality of life and live in a society where their talents and skills are appreciated and valued. For that reason, Gama Insurance Agency will advocate and direct monetary rewards to their cause.
According to an article by the Daily Advertiser, humanitarian aid organization “Save the Children” ranked Louisiana as the worst state for children to live in America based on four factors: hunger, dropping out of school, teenage pregnancy, and early death due to poor health, accident, murder or suicide.
